Sanford Riverwalk, Phase II, Seminole County, FL

TLP, serving as a subconsultant, provided seawall and structural concept and final design plans for a 3-mile segment of this waterfront trail. Phase II plans identified the Riverwalk location along Lake Monroe; creatively used gravity retaining walls to overcome site space constraints; identified public fishing areas and associated parking; and provided modifications to US Highway 17-92. The Riverwalk completed a vital east/west trail connection linking downtown Sanford with future trails to the north and south, creating a regional connection to downtown. It connects with the future Terwilliger Trail, providing access to points south, including a critical connection to the SR 46 commuter rail station.
