I-75/SR 64 Interchange, Manatee County, FL
TLP, serving as a subconsultant, provided roadway design, drainage design and environmental permits for this project to reconstruct the existing I-75/SR 64 partial cloverleaf interchange facility from the existing six 12-foot travel lanes (three in each direction) to a diamond interchange. The project widened 0.807 miles of I-75 to a 10-lane roadway with two express lanes and three general-use lanes in each direction. The interchange improvements also required structural modifications to the existing I-75/SR 64 bridges, the replacement of the existing I 75/SR 64 entrance and exit ramps and widening 0.910 miles of SR 64 from east of 64th Street Court E. to west of Grand Harbour Parkway to accommodate the additional turn/thru lanes and traffic signals required at the SR 64 entrance ramp and the I-75 exit ramp intersections.
